Pakistan Christian Congress nominates Shahbaz Khokhar as President of PCC Sialkot district

Karachi: October 5, 2012. (PCP) Pakistan Christian Council Central Executive Council approved nomination of Rev. Shahbaz Khokhar as President of PCC Sialkot District Council in aspecial meeting here today. Rev. Shahbaz Khokhar is a prominent social worker, human right activist and servant of Lord based in Sialkot city where he operates his own business also. Rev. Shahbaz Khokhar graduated from University of Punjab in 1998 and later toured to Dubai, Moscow, Latvia and other Central Asian countries to study business opportunities. Mr. Clearance Anthony, Central Secretary of Information of PCC has welcomed Rev. Shahbaz Khokhar in Pakistan Christian Congress. Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC have congratulated Rev. Shahbaz Khokhar on joining PCC and hoped that PCC will be more strong in Punjab after leadership of Rev. Khokhar as Sialkot had always played an important role in Pakistani Christians social, political and religious history. Dr. Nazir Bhatti said that PCC re-organization will be completed before national general elections of Pakistan and National General Convention of PCC shall be called to elect Provincial PCC Councils and Central Executive Council of PCC to step in elections as a registered political party if Dual Voting right is practiced. Nazir Bhatti clarified that PCC rejects prevailing Selection system on reserved seats for minorities in parliament and demands for Election in which Christians, Hindus and other religious minorities may vote for to elect their representation.
