Karachi: November 27, 2012. (PCP) despite of continuous death threats being extended to Mr. Pitanbar Sehwani and Saleem Khursheed Khokhar MPAs Sindh tabled a Bill in the Sindh Assembly. Whereas one of their colleagues Malik Atta Muhammad former MPA Sindh who along with Mr. Saleem kHursheed Khokhar and Pitanbar Sehwani continued to protest and struggle against the forced marriages and forced conversions due to which the former Minority MPA Sindh Malik Atta Muhammad was killed by Islamic extremists. It is serious and sad that both the MPAs Sindh Mr. Saleem Khursheed Khokhar and Pitanbar Sehwani and their family members are continuously receiving death threats but both the MPAs have submitted the Bill against forced marriages and conversion. It is pertinent to mention here that the religious minorities’ women are forced kidnapped and under duress they are asked for conversion of their religion, and this process is increasing without any check. On this occasion, Mr. Saleem Khursheed Khokhar stressed that we will struggle against such forced conversion, forced marriages, other discriminatory laws, and for equal rights for religious minorities in the light human rights and he said that we are not scared of such death threats to ourselves and to our family members and emphasised that we will continue the struggle come what may.
