HYDERABAD, Pakistan: December 23, 2012. (Abbas Kassar) Diocese of Hyderabad Church of Pakistan's religious leader Bishop Kaleem John has said that the Christmas (birthday of Christ) is the message of peace, love, interfaith brotherhood and conciliation for whole world. He said the birth of Christ was getting rid of quagmire of sins and to serve humanity was the aim of life of Christians. He said in a message on occasion of Christmas and said that the celebrations of Christmas begin one month before 25th December. He said existence of world was due to woman as it was virgin Marry who with sacred spirit gave birth to Hazat Issa (AS). He said 2000 years back the whole world was engulfed in quagmire of sins then God chose the saviour who was born to true virgin on 25 December as such the Christian world celebrates this day as their Eid (religious festival). He said the Christ did show the miracles by giving eyes light to blinds, enabled the crippled to walk, health to patients, forgave the sinners and gave life to dead. He said Christ preached to forgive the sinners, and to serve the humanity, love and brotherhood. But he deplored that in today's world there were wars, hatred, fighting’s, disappointments everywhere as if people have lost hope to live. He said love and tolerance were no more in such an atmosphere we can spread love and peace by following the teachings of Christ. That is why we the Christians celebrate this day to end hatred and wars from the world and make it stronghold of peace. He congratulated all on the occasion of Christmas and prayed for stability, solidarity and advancement of Pakistan. He prayed that 2013 may eliminate religious extremism and usher in peace and equality.
