Bishop Javed Akhter joins Pakistan Christian Congress with his followers

Karachi: January 7, 2013. (PCP) The Bishop of The Universal Methodist Church is Pakistan announced here today to support Pakistan Christian Congress PCC in meeting of Church elders. Bishop Javed Akhter of The Universal Methodist Church in Pakistan graduated from Karachi University and accepted call of Lord to serve and save souls through UMCP. Bishop Javed Akhter heads more than one dozen Churches in Karachi with thousands of congregates and team of Pastors under The Universal Methodist Church in Pakistan. An Eleven Member PCC committee was formed in a meeting on January 6th, 2013, in Kashmir Colony Karachi headed by Bishop Javed Akhter. The 11 Member PCC Committee will start chalking PCC slogans and hoisting PCC flags on houses of Christians in different colonies of Karachi from January 14, 2013. Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC has welcomed Bishop Javed Akhter on joining PCC and hope that Pakistan Christian Congress will be stronger and people’s party in Sindh after joining of Bishop Javed Akhter and congregates of The Universal Methodist Church in Pakistan. PCC Chief, Dr. Bhatti said that very important responsibilities will be given to Bishop Javed Akhter in Pakistan Christian Congress in next week.
