PCC nominates Anthony Naveed as Coordinator for EU

Karachi: January 9, 2013. (PCP) The Central Executive Council of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC approved nomination of Mr. Anthony Naveed as Coordinator for European Union EU to promote manifesto of PCC and to campaign for revival of human rights of Pakistani Christians with Member Parliaments of EU. Mr. Anthony Naveed is prominent human right activists and politicians with record of struggle for basic democratic rights of Pakistani Christians. He was elected Naib Nazim from 2005-2010 of Jamsheed Town UC of Karachi. As was a Vice President of Christian Students Association in Karachi, he played positive role for betterment of Christian students. He also represented Catholic Youth Commission of Pakistan in World Youth Day Toronto 2002. Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC, Mr. Raymond Durrani, President of PCC Canadian Chapter and Mr. Pervez Iqbal, President of PCC Holland Chapter has congratulated Mr. Anthony Naveed on his nomination as a Coordinator for EU. Dr. Nazir Bhatti in a message to Mr. Naveed shall also Coordinate PCC activities in United Nations Commission on Human Rights in Geneva. Meanwhile, the PCC Karachi Council leaders Bishop Javed Akhter and Arshad Victor has welcomed nomination of Mr. Anthony Naveed as Coordinator for EU and hope that PCC will be more successful to secure human rights in Pakistan.
