Karachi: February 17, 2013. The members of Central Executive Council of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC in a meeting here today at Central Secretariat of PCC and paid homage to Martyr Feroz Masih, who was received bullet injuries by police firing on February 13, 1997, in front of Sindh Governor House Karachi, during peaceful protest procession against Muslim mob attack on a Christian village Shanti Nagar in Punjab. Feroz Masih was rushed to Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Centre JPMC where he passed away.
The Central Council of PCC passed a resolution to mark anniversary of Martyr Feroz Masih in Sindh every year on February 13;
The PCC Central Council discusses political situation of country and expressed concern on silence of democratic institutions and mainstream Muslim political parties on minorities’ demand of Elections under Dual Voting rights instead of Selections.
The Central Council decided to dissolve all provincial and district councils of Pakistan Christian Congress of Sindh with immediate effect and formed an organizing committee comprising of Mr. Morris Sadiq, Secretary General of Pakistan Christian Congress, Mr. Arshad Bahadur, Chief Organizer of Sindh PCC and Mr. Saleem Baloch, special advisor to Mr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress.
The Sindh PCC organizing committee will nominate new PCC Sindh Council and PCC district Councils in Sindh on March 15, 2013, in a gathering of PCC delegates.
The Central Executive Council of PCC also decided to postpone the “All Christian Colonies of Karachi Convention on February 23, 2013” due to worsening law and order situation in Karachi.
