A course on democracy by PCDHR

Lahore. February 26, 2013. (PCP) Centre for Human Rights Education is pleased to share the attached Brief Report of the 2nd Module of the 3rd Participatory Course on Democracy andHuman Rights (PCDHR) being held on February 01-08, 2013 at Dar-ul-Mussarat Training Institute-Lahore. 22 Human Rights Defenders/Educators and university students from different areas of Punjab, Sindh, and Khyber pakhtoonkhawa attended this course. The First Module of the course was held in September, 2012 with the same group. PCDHR is an in-depth long-duration learning program for human rights defenders, university students, journalists, political activists, which puts a strong emphasis on transfer of learning. Therefore the participants are required to develop an individual plan to ensure that the learnings are put into practice. The course is conducted in a participatory methodology to enhance the understanding of the participants on the concept of Human Rights and Democracy and to strengthen their skills to work effectively for the protection and promotion of human rights. CHRE team is very grateful to all their partners, friends, colleagues, facilitators, and resource persons for their support and cooperation to make this training program unique and successful.
