Delegation of CLASS calls upon UK foreign minister.

London. Feb. 15. (Correspondent) The delegation of CLASS headed by, The Rt Rev Mano Rumalshah. Bishop Mano called upon foreign minister Mr. Ben Bradshaw and presented a memorandum urging intervention in release of Ayub Mashie, arrested under blasphem

Mr. Joseph Francis, the chairman of CLASS, with head office at Lahore, Pakistan, has been very active in the release of Ayub Mashie from his arrest under section 295C PPC of blasphemy from Arif Wala sub division in the South Western part of Punjab province. The commissioning of office of CLASS in UK is counted to be great success to the sincere effort of Mr. Joseph Francis as an independent human right activist without help of church leader ship funding in Pakistan. The delegation of CLASS expressed their grave concern on the situation of Christians in Pakistan after implementation of sharia laws in Pakistan. The British foreign minister assured the delegation to consider their concern and forward it to the Government of Pakistan. Nasir Saeed coordinator of CLAAS-UK arranged this meeting, however Revd Alwin Samuel, Revd Nobel Samuel and Mr. Yaqub Masih were also present at this meeting and expressed their concern. The delegation raised a number of other issues like visa facilities for the victims' acquitted form blasphemy charges and shariah laws. The Minister was very interested and listened intently to what we had to say. He promised to look into the matter and talk to the Pakistani authority in his forthcoming meeting.
