Canada: April 27, 2013. (PCP) Stephen Gill will read from the last chapter of his novel The Coexistence in Hamilton, Ontario, at Dragon Centre, 27 King William Street (between James North and Hughson Street) on Sunday June 2nd at 7:30 pm. He will also talk about Amputee, and The Flame. 1. Amputee (epical poem), Vesta, 2013 2. The Flame (epical poem), Vesta, 2008 3. The Coexistence (novel), Orintalia (India), 2011 1. Stephen Gill’s latest book Amputee consists of one hundred thirty-one pages. Amputee, a long poem divided in 43 cantos, is about a sexually abused child. The poem springs from the poet’s deep conviction that peace needs to be discussed from the perspective of education, and a formal education ought to be initiated from the day a couple decided to raise a family. The poem is based on the poet’s belief that everyone is not capable of parenting just as everyone is not capable of driving or owning a gun without proving his or her capabilities through tests. To control undesirable parenting for the sake of the culture of peace, legislation is the answer. 2. Stephen Gill’s another long poem The Flame is divided into 62 cantos. Two books have been published in India to evaluate The Flame, and The Flame is about the destruction caused by maniac messiahs, a phrase that Stephen Gill uses for terrorists. 3. Stephen Gill is going to read from the last chapter of his novel The Coexistence. Set in Canada and India, The Coexistence provides a blueprint to live and let live, showing ideological clashes between the believers in the survival of the fittest and cooperation. This novel is about world peace, focusing on live and let live. Indo/Canadian Stephen Gill, an expressive voice of Canada, India and Pakistan, writes about peace. He has authored more than twenty books and has appeared in more than five hundred publications. He writes usually in English. Some of his Urdu/Hindi poems have been sung with music by singers in three albums. Stephen Gill has received awards and examines Ph.D. theses of English Literature of Indian universities. He is the subject of literary studies and doctoral dissertations and has appeared in prestigious reference books. IKS University in India established the Centre for Stephen Gill Studies for the higher studies on Stephen Gill in a gathering of intellectuals that was chaired by the Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mandvi Singh.
