Silver Jubilee of Fr. Francis Tanveer celebrated in New York

New York: July 12, 2013. (PCP) On July 6 and 7 2013 Fr. Francis Tanveer’s Silver Jubilee (25 years of Priesthood) was celebrated in New Rochelle, New York. The program was organized by Holy Name of Jesus Church and Fr. Francis’s family. His friends, parishioners and family members warmly participated in the program. Fr. Tanveer,s priest friends and class fellows, Fr. Samuel George, Fr. John Francis, Fr. Philip Joseph, Fr. Nasir Gulfam, Fr. Joe Shahzad, Fr. Patrick Yousaf. Fr. Ayoob Francis, Fr. Tariq Issac, and Fr. Samuel Sammy from various countries were also present on the occasion. Sr. Celestine Bhag came all the way from Pakistan to represent Jesus and Mary Congregation as well as family members in Pakistan. Fr. Martin J. Biglin the Pastor and the Vicar of the Sound Shore Vicariate and Parish community warmly welcomed Fr. Francis, his family and all the guests. They shared their views about his life and the Parish ministry. Many of his other friends, who had come from various parts of the United States of America, also shared their views about his personal life, pastoral work, poetry, music (in particular his religious poetry and liturgical music). We will be sharing their visual views on the Face Book. Most of the Pakistani Priests, Rockas Adeel, Sherwin Adeel, Shahzad Anjum, Patrick Bashir and Dr. Sami Samson sang Fr. Francis’s religious as well as social songs. At the end, Fr. Martin Biglin, the Pastor of Holy Name of Jesus Church shared his views about Fr. Francis and thanked all the participants who had come from far and near.
