Toronto: August 22, 2013. (PCP) International Christian Voice celebrated a very happy 66th Independence Day at Consulate general office Toronto. This was a very great day in lives of all of us, the most important part remains that we need to revisit the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and see ourselves in its light. ICV team was invited by the Consulate General, H.E Nafees Zakaria to attend the Independence Day program at Consulate. This was again a great day for two of our Christian brothers among selected Muslims who were honored by the Consulate General. Mr. Nadeem Khokhar who won the gold medal in cricket and a silver medal in badminton along with his children Isaiah Khokhar and Nehemiah Khokhar who won gold medal in track and field were highly honored in the Consulate. Mr. Ashraf Masih who won the bronze medal in European badminton tournament, and Mr. Philip Patrick who sang a milli song there were also highly appreciated; his song was very much appreciated by the audience, especially by Mr. Sohail Rana, the renowned music composer. Mr. Philip Patrick is a very well-known singer in our community and brother of Pr. Carol Patrick. He is God gifted with a very melodious voice. When he got honoured there by the audience and the dignitaries at the same time he made all of us very proud as a Pakistani Canadian Christian community. H.E Nafees Zakaria thanked ICV delegation for witness and participation in the ceremony.
