PCC Punjab condemn attack on Peshawar Church

Toba Tek Singh: September 22, 2013. (PCP) Today on 22nd of September, Sunday, twin suicide bomb attacks on a church in Peshawar has killed, the official source says, 86 and 120 injured whereas the unofficial and private sources say that the death causalities are even more and the death toll must have risen more than 100 killed and 150 injured whereas according to the pastor of the Church more than 600 were present in the prayer service. Peshawar is in the area which is a target of terrorism and within that area there was a special security arrangement for the church and still this tragic incidence is beyond understanding. The eye witnesses say that the twin suicide bombers exploded themselves right at the time when the prayers service was over and people were greeting each other! Soon after this terrible tragedy, the children all over Pakistan started taking out the processions condemning the inhuman act of brutality. PCC Punjab President Mushtaq Gill advocate, Sadaf Saddique Khokhar, Advocate and General Secretary with Pakistan Christian Congress Punjab, Shahzad Fateh President, Toba Tek Singh, Waqar Gill CEO and Mushtaq Gill President Pakistan Christian Congress Punjab, Rahat Anwar Masih Bhuti, Advocate, Naeem Iqbal President Pakpattan, Fr. Simon, Ch. Ashraf Gulshan, PCC Lahore Women Wing President Ruhama Ambreen Shah, PCC Dijkot President Pastor Shabir Patras, PCC Sahiwal Division President Ashiknaz Khokhar and others from Pakistan Christian Congress have condemned the incidence and called it the result of sheer negligence. We demand the responsible persons of this tragic incidence be arrested and punished. We appeal to the Government of Pakistan that the security of minorities of Pakistan be made sure!
