A Muslim friend has written to describe the immediate aftermath, which might offer a glimmer of hope:
After the bombings, the locals Muslims effectively became one family with the Christians. They rushed the injured to hospital, donated blood and medicines and looked after the wounded as if they were part of their family. The mosques made announcements asking locals to do their best to help the Christians. This tells me that the terrorists will be defeated. We cannot let them defeat humanity.
