HYDERABAD: October 9, 2013. (Abbas Kassar) A civil society members rally was taken out here against the insult of a dead body in ancient graveyard near Pangrio last day wherein few religious extremists dug out a dead body of Bhooro Bheel from graveyard and threw it on ground. The rally condemned the act of such inhumanity and demanded arrest of those involved in it. The rally was taken under auspices of Green Rural Development Organization and was attended among others by noted social workers and members of civil society Dr.Hyder, Mustafa Baloch, Taj Mari, Dr. Ashothama ,Sattar Zangejo, Weeroo Kolhi, Muhammad Boota Sarwar, advocate Zarina, Zahid Thebo, Aijaz Khoso, journalist Abbas Kassar, Bano Aijaz, Abdul Malik Soomro, Imran and a lot of social workers in front of press club where the leaders addressed it. Dr.Hyder chairman GRDO condemned the act of humiliation and insult to dead body of Bhooro Bheel by digging the body out of grave and throwing it on ground after dragging it. He demanded from government to arrest the religious fanaticist involed in this heinour crime. He said due to such mean acts the image of Islam was being tarnished in whole world due to few. He said not only Hindu community but Muslims' sentiments have also been hurt. Dr. Ashothama of HRCP said the dead is never Hindu or Muslim and digging dead body from grave was insult of humanity. Ms.Weeroo Kolhi said we minorities are being deprived of the right to be buried in our own motherland. It may be reminded that last day a dead body of Bhooro Bheel was dug out from Faqir Aulia graveyard near Pangrio town of Badin district by a group of religious extremists led by Abid Qureshi and Amir Rajput.After it the Hindu community held protest crying that they were being denied right to bury their dead bodies. Moti, Khabar and Mohan Bheel said that their dead are buried in Faqir Aulia graveyard since centuries but now their right to bury the dead is being snached from them. Reacting on the incident nationalist leader Dr. Dodo Maheri also condemned the act adding that lower Sindh is peaceful area but few religious fanacists were pushing it to religious extremism. Though on receiving infromation SSP Badin Shaukat Hussain Khatian reached at Pangrio but did take no action against the enemies of humanity and was seen supportive to those involved in crime. In Badin social leaders Khadim Talpur, Ram Kolhi advocate and others led a protest demonstration in front of press club and demanded arrest of the culprits. They deplored that the terrorists were attempting to eject minorities from Sindh. People of district Badin have taken exception to attitude of SSP Badin Shaukat Khatian which he exhibited in favour of criminals of humanity instead of taking action against them. Civil society in Hyderabad had demanded arrest of those involved in insult of dead body and also to remove SSP Badin for his cowardice against the terrorists.
