Karachi: October 26, 2013. (PCP) Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC have strongly condemned extending privatization of Solid Waste Management department of Municipal Corporations of Faisalabad, Multan, Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur, Gujranwala and other major cities of Punjab province to Turkish companies like Metropolitan Corporation of Lahore. In Solid Waste Management departments of Municipal Corporations of Punjab, Christians are employed, who clean streets, roads and move solid waste of cities. The Solid Waste Management department of Municipal Corporations in Punjab was previously under Health Departments in which medical and Para-medical staff like doctors, nurses, sanitary workers, and basic health unit employees were included but to separate sanitary workers who were Christians, a new department was created with name of Solid Waste Management to put Christian employees for sale in International market. There have been corrupt department like excise and taxation, purchasing and lands in Municipal Corporation but they were not privatized because 100% Muslims were employed in these departments of corporations. Mian Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif who are leaders of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz Group PML (N) and one brother was Chief Minister of Punjab were intimated by International Establishment that if you want to govern federation of Pakistan then they must establish relations with Turkish Islamic Party government to learn how to with Islamic ideology and to cap power of military general in Pakistan. The now Prime Minister of Pakistan and his brother who is now again Chief Minister of Punjab province of Pakistan and was then also Chief Minister of Punjab made frequent visits to Turkey and served Pakistani Punjabi Christians as a bate to extend their loyalty. In 2012, instead of privatizing corrupt departments of Lahore Metropolitan Corporation, only SWM department of Lahore Metropolitan Corporation was privatized without permission of Pakistan Privatization Commission to a Turkish government in which Christians were employed. Dr. Nazir S Bhatti said that now when Mian Nawaz Sharif is Prime Minister of Pakistan and his brother Mian Shahbaz Sharif is Chief Minister of Punjab are planning to privatize SWM department of other cities of Punjab and selling it to Turkish companies. PCC Chief said “Christian employees of Municipal Corporations of Punjab were getting pension and other funds with which they were able to start new life for their families after retirement benefits which are destroyed with privatization and Mian Nawaz and Shahbaz are responsible of such anti-Christian attitudes” Nazir Bhatti said that Pakistan Christian Congress PCC will strongly oppose only privatization of SWM department of municipal corporations of Punjab in which Christians are employees. Nazir Bhatti said that if Nawaz Brothers attempted to sold more Christians to Turkish companies then Punjabi Christians will go on indefinite strike.
