Punjab: February 7, 2014. (PCP) The Christian family from Layyah staged a protest in front of Lahore Press club along with other Christian leaders and demanding justice from Punjab Government.
This latest case involves a sixteen years age girl from Chak 270 TDA Layyah District, Ms. Samariya , who was abducted when the girl was on her way to school in the first decade of January 2014 and after abduction she forcibly married to a rich Muslim landlord.
The family filed a complaint at Layyah Police Station which was registered FIR No 14/14, under Section 365 B PPC.
Advocate Sardar Mushtaq Gill,a human rights Defender and Chief of LEAD ,has appealed to Punjab Chief Minister, Mian Shahbaz Sharif to take action and make recover Samariya to her parents and take legal proceedings against her abductor.
