Karachi: February 11, 2014. (PCP) Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC have expressed grave concerns on not providing adequate security to Akmal Bhatti, Sikander Bhatti and other witnesses in Shahbaz Bhatti murder case who received life threat letter from banned outfits and same submitted to office of Interior Minister of Government of Pakistan Choudhry Nisar Ali urging for security to ensure justice. The killers of Shahbaz Bhatti were arrested from Islamabad who confessed the crime and case is under hearing in anti-terrorist court. The last hearing was on January 22, 2014, which was attended by Akmal Bhatti as witness along with other witnesses. Martyr Shahbaz Bhatti former Federal Minister for Minorities, government of Pakistan was assassinated in broad day light on March 2, 2011, when he was heading for cabinet meeting. In a press statement of PCC Chief issued here today from Central Secretariat of Pakistan Christian Congress said that names of killers of Shahbaz Bhatti who are terrorists of Tehreek Talban Pakistan TTP are in list of more than Seven Thousand whom TTP have demanded to be released as one of condition in dialogues for peace among Government of Pakistan and TTP. Dr. Nazir Bhatti said that if government gave pardon or released killers of Shahbaz Bhatti on demand of TTP then Christians of Pakistan will be forced to right action. PCC Chief said “Government of Pakistan may take notice of life threats to witnesses in Shahbaz Bhatti murder case and provide them fool proof security, if government not acted accordingly then it will be meant that Pakistan administration is intentionally saving killers” The registration of FIR (First Information Report) of assassination of Shahbaz Bhatti was supposed to be as; Government of Pakistan V/S accused killers as in most of high profile murder cases, the government stands as complainant; like Benazir Bhutto murder case, the government is complainant and FIR is filed by government as complainant; Nazir Bhatti said “Why in Shahbaz Bhatti murder case his brother Sikander was asked to be complainant when government of Pakistan was supposed to be complainant in FIR it meant that from first day administration was not sincere to ensure justice in this brutal day light killing” It is on record that terrorists after killing Shahbaz Bhatti, sprayed Pamphlets on his dead body in which TTP accepted responsibility of assassination and threatened to kill everyone who will demand to repeal or amendment in blasphemy laws as Shahbaz Bhatti talked about blasphemy law. Nazir Bhatti demanded security of complainant in FIR and of all witnesses and to transfer case in any city of Sindh province of Pakistan where court proceeding may be held in jail and culprits may be punished.
