Major Seminarians of Lahore Archdiocese re-energized

Lahore: June 24, 2014. (WaqasSadiq) The Archdiocese Lahore arranged one get together Programme for 16 Christ the King and 10 St. Francis Xavier seminarians from 17th to 20th June at St. Mary’s Minor Seminary, Lahore. The purpose and theme of this programme was to learn and know about each other in the duration of priestly formation. This programme was organized under the guidance of Rev. Fr. Inayat Bernard, Rector of St. Mary’s Minor Seminary. This programme was inaugurated with an introductory session and the celebration of Holy Eucharist by Fr. Inayat Bernard. During this time all together there were five talks delivered by different preacher. Rev. Fr. Innayat Bernard out of his experiential life shared ten principles of good formation which could assist seminarians in their formation. Rev. Fr. Andrew Nisari said that every seminarian should have love for the Church which must be expressed in their actions. Fr. Joseph Shahzad shared about the parish structure and parish life and challenges for the pastoral life. Archbishop Sebastian Francis Shaw OFM stressed on the sense of responsibility and balanced life for the successful mission. Beside this, His Grace said that Jesus Christ should be the center of our lives which should be corresponding with our actions. In the last session, Rev. Fr. Samson Dilawar explained the role of catechist in the diocese, insisting that we must respect the catechist, because both priest and the catchiest work for the kingdom of God. This get together programme was ended with the Holy Eucharist presided by the Archbishop Sebastian Francis Shaw OFM and co-celebrant Rev. Fr. Innayat Bernard. In addition, this programme was very fruitful and we gained some indications for the clear vision, mission and a pastoral future ministry.
