SHEIKHUPURA, Pakistan: A 25-year-old Christian man remains in critical condition after being shot during a violent altercation in a
Samandri, Faisalabad; September 3, 2014. (PCP) According to sources of CLAAS a Christian have been booked under blasphemy charges who is residents of Chack no. 206, Samandri District Faisalabad who informed about a registered case FIR 316/14 under section 295-C, 506-B, 447, 148, 147 in the police station Murid Wala Tehcil Samundri, District Faisalabad by Ashiq Hussain (a local Muslim) against Christian residents about 55 people in which 35 Christian are nominated and 20 unknowns.
Through sources CLAAS was informed about a property dispute (graveyard) between Christians and Muslims and later the Christians were alleged for blasphemy and a case FIR was registered and the Christians are arrested.
CLAAS team headed by Mr. Joseph Francis National Director, Katherine Sapna Program Officer, Rama Rasheed Assistant Program Officer , Sohail Habel Finance Manager, Hunny Bashir from Legal department leaving for fact finding immediately to the occurrence Place to collect real facts behind the registered case and for the moral support to the grieved victim’s families and the other locals.
