Salik observes International Day of Peace in Islamabad

Pakistan: September 21, 2014. (PCP) Former Federal Minister, Convenor world Minorities Alliance and nominee for Nobel Peace Prize J Salik has organized an event to highlight the necessity of Peace in the world. He celebrated this day in his own way by releasing pigeons; symbol of peace in front of Islamabad Press Club. He along with his wife and other participants holding a pla card of peace Prayer reached Islamabad Press Club and they prayed for world peace and released pigeons on this occasion, he says pigeons are symbol of peace and we pray for peace all over the world including our dear homeland Pakistan. He added that education can play a vital role to have peace around the world and UN should play its role towards world peace it should introduce Peace subject in curricula in the UN University, and encouragement of similar programs in schools, colleges and universities worldwide, aimed at the promotion of peace.
