Pakistan Christian Congress condemn beheading of 21 Egyptian Christians

Karachi: February 17, 2015. (PCP) Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC has strongly condemned beheading of 21 Coptic Christians by ISIS Libyan group Islamists in a press note issued by Central Secretariat of PCC here today. A group of Islamists claiming to be ISIS in Libya kidnapped 21 Egyptian Christians on their identification as Christians from a workplace and beheaded them on sea shore on tape announcing their Islamic duty to kill Christian infidels. Some sources who have knowledge of Arabic language wrote on social media that when Islamists were cutting throats of Egyptians Christians with shouts of Alla Hu Akbar, the Christian victims were loudly saying “Jey Yesu” which means hail Jesus Christ as a proud to be Christians. Nazir Bhatti statement said “Killing of any human being is heinous crime and no religion permit to do so in name of God” “The silence of government of Pakistan to condemn beheading of 21 Egyptian Christian negates its struggle to end terrorism in Pakistan” added Nazir S Bhatti PCC Chief expressed grave concerns on safety and security of Christians in Middle East and North Africa after rising of ISIS and urged United Nation Security Council to act to curb terrorism.
