New York: April 28, 2015. (PCP) Two Human Rights Activists Raj Kumar Wanjara and Asad Chandio from Sind who were on a visit to New York were honored in New York in an upscale restaurant on April 22nd by Indian American Intellectuals Forum, Justice for Hindus, Satya Narayan Mandir, Overseas Sindhu Sabha, Sindhi Hindu Association, Alliance of Sindhi Associations and other groups. Addressing the meeting Raj Kumar Wanjara said that in Pakistan conditions of Hindus is going from bad to worse. Unprecedented atrocities are being heaped on Hindus. Last year 1265 Hindu girls were abducted, forcibly converted to Islam and married to Muslim men. 20 Hindu temples were demolished and set on fire. Several Hindu businessmen were abducted, falsely charged under blasphemy law and put in jail without any trial. According to Pakistan Human Rights Commission, around 25 Hindu girls are abducted, forcibly converted to Islam and married to Muslims every month. Pakistan is a living hell for Hindus. Because of atrocities, Hindu population in Pakistan which was about 22% at the time of Partition of India has been reduced to 1.85%. “We will appreciate it very much if you could kindly bring the issue of atrocities on Hindus to the attention of Human Rights Groups, Congressmen and Senators in this country,” appealed Raj Kumar and Asad Chandio.
