PCC Punjab President Daud Sharif visits Muslim mob attacked Christian colony DhoopSaari

Lahore: May 26, 2015. (PCP) Mr. Daud Sharif Sohtra, President of Punjab Council of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC has demanded government of Punjab to rebuild homes damaged by Muslim mob and to give funds for household equipment destroyed by mob during attack on Christian Colony in Lahore Dhoop Saari. Muslim mob attacked Christian Colony Dhoop Saari in Lahore, on May 24, 2015, when news spread that one Christian have burnt pages of Quran, a Holy Book of Muslims. Mr. Daud Sharif Sohtra visited 20 homes of Christians which were destroyed by Muslim Mob and households were looted and assured them that Pakistan Christian Congress will approach government of Punjab to immediately rebuild homes and fund for looted valuables. Mr. Daud Sohtra also met with Mr. Alamghir who is VP of PML (N) of Dhoop Saari and Mr. Ashraf Gill, President of Youth of Dhoop Saari who told him that Hammayun Masih who is accused of burning pages of Quran have home in Dhoop Saari but any incident of burning of pages of Quran not took place in Dhoop Saari. Mr. Hammayun Masih is a drug addict and mentally unstable ho was arrested by police under blasphemy charges and sent to mental hospital for treatment. PCC Punjab Chief Mr. Sohtra urged government to adopt adequate security measures for Christians in Pakistan.
