Washington DC: June 20, 2015. (PCP) Subject: Letter to UNHCR Thailand - Pakistan – I am with the human rights volunteer group Responsible for Equality And Liberty (R.E.A.L.), and I am contacting you on behalf of Pakistan Christian refugees who have fled from Pakistan due to the oppressive religious discrimination that they are facing in that country. They have applied for UNHCR refugee status and they are seeking asylum as refugees. I have contacted you about the refugee status determination (RSD) for people in desperation condition, fleeing for their lives as Pakistan Christians. A. History of Communications with UNHCR on Pakistan Christian Human Rights Violations You have heard from me and from others concerned about Pakistan Christian refugees who have fled oppression from Pakistan. I have provided you their stories, and statistics on the abuse of Pakistan Christians who are regularly arrested on trumped-up charges of "blasphemy" in the country of Pakistan. Once charged with "blasphemy," Christians will be given the death penalty, such as Asia Bibi, who is vomiting blood in the Women's Multan Jail as I write this, or many are put to death, such as Christian pastor Rashid Emmanuel and his brother Sajjad (who were gunned down in the streets in Faisalabad), Pakistan Christian Qamar David Convicted of "Blasphemy" Died in Prison of "mysterious circumstances," or those I hear from who Pakistan Christians are running for their lives from "blasphemy" threats. In Punjab alone, there are 262 such blasphemy cases. Pakistan Christians have recently been attacked in their churches, and even young Pakistan Christian children are doused with kerosene and set on fire.
