PNI hosts Interfaith Dinner to promote Peace and Social Harmony

Faisalabad: July 6, 2015. (PCP) In regard to Ramadan a get together was organized by peace for nation international (PNI) at Baba Tika Restaurant, D-Ground, Faisalabad to promote peace and interfaith harmony among the people belong to different religions. Ramadan is a blessed month to share love and happiness. Therefore, interfaith dinner was the opportunity to show respect for religion Islam and its teachings. The interfaith dinner & get together was joined by religious leaders, representatives of different NGOs and media persons includes; advocate Hashmat barkat (Chairman – PNI), Bishop Manzoor Alam, Peer Dr. Adnan Farooq (Chairman – Danish Foundation), Mr. Nasem Anthony (Exe. Director – AWAM), Mr. Suneel Malik (Director – PHD Foundation), Mr. Sameer Ajmal (Reporter – Jung group), Mian Nadeem Ahmed (President – FNN), Madam Shaheen Gill, Madam Ruoqia Ibrahim (President women wing – MLN), Ms. Muqdas Abro (Chairperson – WSO), Mr. ZafarIqbal (Program Manager – PNI), Mr. Tahir Iqbal (President - LDO), Mr. Ifikhar Ahmed (Senior Human rights activist – SAP), Ms. Nasreen Bukhari (Chairperson – Aitbar Foundation, Madam Tahira Anjum (President women wing – PMA), Mr. Khalil Bhatti (Chairman – EGF), Pastor Asif Masih, Mr. Arif Iyaz (General Secretary – AWP), Mr. Anwar Masih (President – AAC) and Irfan Gill (Activist - CSC). The basic purpose of the activity was to give tribute to the social activists and religious leaders as they are already promoting peace and interfaith harmony by individual and collective efforts. Participants of the interfaith get together shared their valuable comments and appreciated the imitative taken by peace for nation international (PNI). Religious leaders shared the impotence and benefits of Fasts during blessed Ramadan. They termed Ramadan as golden opportunities to earn blessings and pleasure of God by helping needy and deserving people around us. Ramadan gives chance to us to pay offerings for the forgiveness of our sins. Participants further said that activities like this should keep continue to show love, respect and acceptance for other religions to build peaceful and developed Pakistan. Mr. Hashmat barkat (chairman – PNI) as host of the interfaith dinner shared that religious monazites in Pakistan are striving for the promotion and protection of their rights and protection of their worship places. So promotion of peace and interfaith harmony through the actives like today’s will be very much helpful to play vital role to develop strong and long lasting relations among different religions and denominations in the best interest of beloved country. On the conclusion of the activity he thanked all the participants for joining the activity and sharing of valuable words to support peace and interfaith harmony.
