Lahore: August 10, 2015. (Pervez Yousaf) In order to promote peace and reconciliation among the hearts of the citizens of Pakistan during the ongoing uproar and political instability in the country and war like situation on the geographical borders, Council for Interfaith Dialogue Pakistan (CFID) is distributing thousands of copies of peace prayer of St. Francis of Assisi among the people of Pakistan on the occasion of Independence Day 2015. This prayer is printed on one side of a pocket size card with flag of Pakistan and symbols of peace on the other side.
On the occasion of launching of this significant campaign Fr. Francis Nadeem OFM Cap, coordinator of the council said that armed forces of Pakistan and all concerned institutions are carry out their day and night efforts to overcome this chaotic situation and restoration of peace, but prayer is such a tool which anyone can use according to his/her creed. He further said that it is our moral, social and national duty to carry out all efforts to restore peace in our country and prayer is the most powerful tool in all the difficult situations.
