Islamabad: March 9, 2016. (PCP) Convener World Minorities Alliance J Salik said that Supreme Court of Pakistan gave a very important decision regarding minorities’ elections on 5th August, 2015 but it is not under consideration in the Parliament yet.
He said that before the local bodies’ elections the leadership of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz in Islamabad promised along with the candidates for Chairman that they will fight for the rights of minorities and will consider the five major demands of minorities but now even the mayors have been appointed.
He said that the rights of minorities should be restored in the country because positions are nothing we should have good character. He said that during my ministerial tenure I never care for my position and always stood against government for the rights of poor.
