Karachi: April 22, 2016. (PCP) The Central Executive Council leaders of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC have strongly condemned target killing of Member Provincial Assembly of KPK Dr. Sardar Soran Singh who was also Special Assistant to Chief Minister of KPK on Minorities Affair. According to press note issued here today from Central Secretariat of PCC in statement Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress have strongly condemned killing of Dr. Soran Singh MPA and expressed on not providing a Sikh minority leader fool proof security. Dr. Nazir Bhatti said “Sikh and Christian minorities in KPK province are always under threat of Islamic extremists who have bombed Churches and worship places of Hindus and Sikhs and killed hundreds and KPK provincial authorities are fully aware of recent threats but security of Sardar Soran Singh was not fool proof which he deserved as minorities minister” Sardar Soran was doctor by profession and his family was living in KPK from centuries; Hundreds of Sikhs and Hindus left Pakistan for India after religious tax was imposed on them by Pakistani Talban TTP in tribal areas of Pakistan but family of Sardar Soran Singh preferred to stay in Pakistan neglecting threats from extremists. Dr. Soran Singh was targeted by gunmen riding motorcycles in Peer Baba area of Buner District of KPK bordering Afghanistan on head and chest with critical injuries and died in hospital “Minorities are not safe in any area of Pakistan while government is never serious to adopt adequate security measures for them and target killing of Dr. Soran Singh is recent result of it” added Nazir Bhatti in a statement. PCC demanded arrest of killers of Dr. Soran Singh and ensure justice towards minorities in Pakistan because TTP have publically threatened to kill Christians and other members of religious communities whom they term as “Infidels” Dr. Soran Singh joined PTI of Imran Khan in 2011 and became Member of KPK Assembly on seats reserved for minorities rising up to Minister Status. He was also member of Tehsil council, Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee and Evacuee Trust Property Board. Nazir Bhatti said after seeing Sardar Soran Singh profile picture on Twitter “I feel sorry for Soran Singh who is holding “Pakistan Flag” on his shoulder is shot dead in land of Pakistan”
