Christian leader hosts All Parties Iftar Dinner to mark interfaith harmony in Ramadan

Karachi: June 29, 2016. (PCP) Prominent Christian leader J. Salik former Federal Minister, Convener World Minorities Alliance and Organizer Awami Maseeha Party hosted “All Parties Iftar Dinner” in honor of more than 200 Muslim political parties registered with ECP on June 28, 2016, at Pearl Continental Hotel, Karachi express solidarity with Muslims during Holy Month of Ramzan. Such All Parties Iftar Dinner has been only organized by J Salik in history of Pakistan in which senior leadership of PPP, MQM, ANP, PML (F), PML (Q), JI, JUI, CCP and others along with Hindus and Christians also participated. J. Salik said that purpose of this All Parties Iftar Dinner is to promote peace and interfaith harmony among religions and to bring minorities issues in notice of national political parties. The leaders of political parties endorsed and supported the decision of the 5th August, 2015 of the Supreme Court of Pakistan about the ‘implementation of the minorities’ election wherein it was held by the Supreme Court that the Federal Government to manage to fill reserved minorities seats by direct election and through minorities votes in the Parliament of Pakistan.
