Karachi: September 2, 2016. (PCP) Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC has strongly condemned terror attack on Christian Colony on Warsak Road Peshawar in which one Christian was killed when suicide bomber entered in his home and blew him up. The PCC Chief also condemned suicide bomber attack on Mardan Courts where 13 were killed and dozens injured. PCC Punjab President Mr. Daud Sharif Sohtara has also condemned terror attack of Christian Colony and demanded more security measures for Christians in Punjab who have faced many terror attacks on worship places in past years. Mr. Saleem Khursheed Khokhar, Former Member Provincial Assembly Sindh and Ms. Jacqueline Sultan Advocate & Chairperson Global Human Rights Association Alliance condemned the attack on Christian Colony Peshawar and Mardan District Courts. Mr. Saleem Khursheed Khokhar said that Christian Colony Peshawar attack shows that the unknown persons do not want that the God’s work to happen, they tried to attack on Christianity. Ms. Jacqueline Sultan said that nobody can stop God’s work and Christian will continue to work for God despite of threats and attacks. She referred the attacks on Christian and said the fanatics / extremists are trying to create anarchy by targeting minorities in Pakistan. They want to stop the progress and development of the country and create fear in people Pakistan. They also strongly condemned the attack on Mardan District Courts where six lawyers and two policemen were dead amongst 13 and 52 wounded in suicide bomb blast and expressed sympathy with bereaved families. They demand Government of Pakistan to properly enquire the matter, provide best medical treatment to the injured as well financial aid to the victims. Wilson Chowdhry, Chairman of the British Pakistani Christian Association, said: "Though in great fear of another attack Pakistani Christians have praised security forces. The current government has a long way to go but is exhibiting signs of good governance towards minorities. The fact that Christians are so often the target in terrorists’ plots is starting register and security strategies have improved as a consequence. Even then something has to be done to exterminate both the extremists group and the pervading hatred for minorities amongst the general populace, that together make life for Pakistani Christians and other minorities in Pakistan untenable."
