Islamabad: December 10, 2016. (PCP) President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain in a ceremony handed over awards to some people who have been selected by Human Right Ministry of government of Pakistan in which not any Muslim nor Christian was included who have been hoisting flag of Human Rights in streets of Pakistan and truly serving humanity but winners were those poets, writers, parliamentarians who are in listed with bureaucracy. The address of President Hussain was same old echo of violation of Human Rights in Kashmir and Palestine while he forgot to regret of grave human right violation against Christian, Hindus, Ahmadiyya, Sikhs and others in Pakistan. President of Pakistan also not bothered to hold Human Rights in Karachi operation where hundreds are missing, dozens tortured and dumped on roads and thousands harassed in connection with target killing and extortion. The situation of Balochistan was not discussed and solution tabled in speech of President of Pakistan on this International Human Rights Day to restore rule of civilians and to end decade long military operation in this province. Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC said in a statement that Pakistan must straighten human right situation in his own limits instead of uproars in Kashmir and Palestine. “The Christians in Pakistan are oppressed and persecuted in Pakistan and treated like 2nd class citizen which need attention of President of Pakistan that due equal political and economic rights may be given to all religious minorities” added Nazir Bhatti According to Radio Pakistan, President Mamnoon Hussain has urged the world powers to take notice of grave human rights violations in occupied Kashmir and Palestine. He regretted that in different parts of the world including occupied Kashmir and Palestine, the people have been deprived of their right to self-determination. He said the occupying forces are subjecting the defenseless and armless people in these territories to persecution. He said responsibility rests with the world community especially the main powers to take notice of this grave situation for peace and stability. Turning to the human rights situation in the country, Mamnoon Hussain said several steps have been taken to protect the rights of women and minorities. In this regard, legislation such as the one on honor killing has also been done.
