Stop dramas of Christmas Train and Awards instead give Christians equal rights

Islamabad: December 24, 2016. (PCP) Dr. Nazir S Bhatti, President of Pakistan Christian Congress PCC has said that Christians have no share in resources of federation of Pakistan nor they enjoy equal basic democratic rights which have pushed them below poverty line and they have lost buying power to travel on so-called Christmas Train or any other Train to travel to meet their friends and families during this Christmas season. Dr. Bhatti said “Khawaja Saad Rafique Federal Minister for Railway is son of a leader who fought for rights of poor and downtrodden communities during his long struggle and I have never expected that he will play such a drama of Christmas Train with poor Pakistani Christian” “It was more in best interest of Pakistani Christians if Federal Railway Minister have announced jobs for Christian Youth in Pakistan Railway or have raised voice for voting right for Christians to elect their own leaders with their votes instead of Show of Christmas Train” added Nazir Bhatti PCC Chief said that I will not comment on Kamran Michael who is Human Right Minister for Federal Government because he is not elected by votes of Christians but handpicked by Pakistan Muslim League PML (N) leadership. Nazir Bhatti clarified that Christians are not enjoying equal rights in Pakistan and claimed made on national and international media but some Christian religious or social leaders are not true. “Muslim leaders in parliament are not ready to stop misuse of blasphemy laws against religious minorities nor have they proposed any legislation against enforced conversion of Christian women to Islam so why this drama of Christmas Train, Cake cutting in President House and Human Right Awards” said PCC Chief Nazir Bhatti said that 70% of Christian Youth is unemployed and their families are facing hardship to have even two meals a days. Nazir Bhatti in his telephonic conversation with Chief Organizer Pakistan Christian Congress Mr. Akram Gill in Islamabad said that we will keep on struggling for rights of poor Christians and we will be successful soon.
