Pakistan: December 29, 2016. (PCP) Ms. Jacqueline Sultan, Christian Lawyer and Human Rights Activist visited Kotri, Sindh and distributed Christmas Gifts among the poor people of Christian minority. The women complained regarding injustice
During the meeting with women she said that ratio of injustices with minorities have been increased.
She said according to The Global Slavery Index 2013, Pakistan comes third, after Mauritania and Haiti, in the prevalence of child labour while the International Labour Organization (ILO) says that the overall number of child labourers has declined from 200 million in 2000 to 168 million in 2014.
She said about 25 million children are not going to school out of which about 15 million are earning for their families through various forms of manual labour..
She said real development will come only when our whole population will able to lead respectable life. Education, healthcare, poverty, sanitation, unemployment etc are the real indicator of real development.
She said now government and citizens will have to work hand in hand to bring country out from this child and forced labour issue.
