(PCP) Reportedly, a 12 Years old Christian girl namely Meshal student of grade sixth was abducted from her home, gangraped by three Muslim men and also burnt her body with cigarettes. The report of incident and against Police was aired at Dunya News TV channel and also on social media in which her mother told that they reported the incident to the local Police but they did not take any action against the perpetrator also they did not lodge FIR against them. She also requested CM Punjab to take notice of the case and ensure justice for them.
LEAD, an advocacy group, involved in the protection of religious minority rights, strongly condemns the sexual assault on a minor girl of only twelve-year-old. This is not the first time that such an incident of abduction, gangraped and burnt body with cigarettes has taken place in the country.
The phenomenon of kidnapping, rapping and in some cases, enforced to Islamic marriages of minorities' girls is endemic in Pakistan. Pakistan must ensure protection for religious minorities from such incidents.
