Liverpool UK: December 18, 2017. (PCP) Mr. Saleem Khursheed Khokhar, Founder Minority Inqilabi Tehreek, Ex MPA Sindh and Ex-Chairman Standing Committee on Minorities Affairs Sindh Assembly condemned the brutal attack on innocent worshipers of Bethel Methodist Church Quetta where about 9 people were killed and more than 50 injured.
He said the Government and its machinery is busy to hide their corruption and there is no any implementation on the National Action Plan.
He said if the incident happened with the other community the compensation package immediately announced by the Government but about 24 hours has been passed but the Government has not announced compensation to the injured and victim’s family.
He said the Christian Community in Pakistan feel insecure and afraid to celebrate their Christmas eve and New Year. He demanded Provincial Governments and Federal Government to provide adequate security to all churches of Pakistan as well as Christians colony to avoid any misshape or incident.
Meanwhile, a prayer service was held at Government Postgraduate College Samundri, district Faisalabad today on December 18, 2017 for the victims of the Methodist Church of Quetta yesterday on December 17,2017 who lost their precious lives and were injured. Honourable Dr Imtiaz Hussain Warriach,, the Principal, Anjum James Paul, Chairman of Political Science Department, professors and students participated in the prayer ceremony.
The leaders of Pakistan Christian Congress have also condemned killing of innocent Christians in Church and demanded security of Christian worship places during Christmas.
Human Rights Focus Pakistan (HRFP) condemned the attack on Church in Quetta (Baluchistan), Pakistan on December 17, 2017 where the number of worshippers became martyrs and wounded brutally. Naveed Walter president HRFP grieved over the heinous religious terrorism during Christmas Seasons but the believers are not scared at all and will carry on their preparations & celebrations of coming festival, he added more. Naveed Walter said the government must ensure the security measure at the levels directed by Supreme Court on 19 July 2014. Naveed Walter said further the despicable attack is condemnable by all Pakistanis instead of belongings their religion, sect, province and political affiliations otherwise the silence and justifications opening the ways to more brutal incidents. Our support and voice is for the bereaved, innocent and vulnerable victims and their families, he added more.
