Release demanded of mentally abnormal Christian man arrested on blasphemy

Lahore: December 30, 2017. (PCP) The civil society activists have demanded release of arrested blasphemy accused Nadeem Samson on humanitarian ground as he is mentally ill. A Christian man of age 44 years named Nadeem Samson was picked up illegally by Police on November 24, 2017, and transferred to unknown place where he was brutally tortured. The Judicial Magistrate of section 30 of District Courts Lahore City ordered on November 27, 2017 of judicial custody of Nadeem Samson but he was remanded for two more days where again he was physically tortured but when his condition became critical he was transferred to jail. Police charged Nadeem Samson in blasphemy case number 123, dated November 24, 2017, under charges of 3 Blasphemy and other 12 sections 3/4 ,11/13 ,14/16, 20, 419, 420, 468, 471,109, 295A ,295C, 298A at Police Station FIA, Cyber Crime, Lahore, Pakistan. This blasphemy case again was due to enmity and contention for property between Nadeem’s family and a Muslim man name Abdul Haq (Goga), who once entered and took unfair charge of his uncle’s property at Christian Colony, Shahadara, Lahore. Mohammad Goga once declared that he was converted Christian and took refuge in their home and later he was found Converted-Muslim-back and worked as Police informer. Nadeem once offered Abdul Haq (Goga) to pay present cost of property and tried to get back that property but Abdul Huq (Goga) once found Nadeem’s ID card copy and bought a sim card by his name and continued insulted Islam and their prophet through Facebook. Later, Goga made a conspiracy against Nadeem Samson with the help of Police and after kidnapping, they burnt his all stuff at home and charged Nadeem with Blasphemy sections. Police looking for his brother Michael Javed and family now, for no reason while Pakistani Government, Minority Leaders and Media is silent.
