Religious Minorities Demand Election Not Selection

HYDERABAD: January 8, 2018. (Abbas Kassar) Pakistan Minorities Unity Council has, in a resolution passed at a gathering at St. Philip Church Hyderabad, demanded elections and not selection. Council demanded rights equal to others and right of double vote. They also demanded increase in minority seats in Senate, National and provincial assemblies. Demands were made at gathering on occasion of issuing notification of new elected office bearers of PMUC of Hyderabad, Jamshoro and Tando Allahyar districts. Reverend Dr.Danyal Fayyaz presided gathering and prayed for solidarity and security of Pakistan and success of new body of PMUC. Those elected on council included Riaz Nagar, Ramesh Lal Chawla,Sohail Khokhar, Naveed Bhatti, Madam Shama Gul, Daniel Laldin.
