Lahore: October 10, 2018. (PCP) An Olive Peace Tree was planted by a government official, Pir Noor-ul-Haq Qadri (Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony) at Jamiah Masjid Kubra, New Samanabad, Lahore.
This ceremony was organized by the National Commission for Interreligious Diloague & Ecumenism (NCIDE). Fr. Francis Nadeem OFM Cap (Executive Secretary NCIDE) Moulana Muhammad Asim Makhdoom, Dr. Badar Munir Mujadadi and Allama Muhamad Asghar Arif Chishti were also present in this ceremony.
The Minister appreciated the efforts of the Commission and assured his cooperation in the promotion of peace and harmony among all the religions. He further expressed his ambition for a peaceful Pakistan.
The expedition of NCIDE was lead by Fr. Francis Nadeem OFM Cap, who, while expressing his views thanked the Federal Minister and affirmed his support and collaboration.
