Distribution of Message on month of Ramadan and Eid by Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue Vatican

Lahore: June 10, 2019. (PCP) His Grace Archbishop Sebastian Francis Shaw OFM Chairman, National Commission for Interreligious Dialogue & Ecumenism distributed the “Message for the month of Ramadan and ‘ID Al-Fitr” issued by His Excellency Bishop Miguel Angel Ayuso Guixot, M.C.C.J. Secretary Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue Vatican, Rome at Jamiah Masjid Ahsan-al-Raheem, Lahore and extended Eid Greetings. His Grace also read this message in Urdu for the people gathered at the Mosque.

Fr. Francis Nadeem OFM Cap executive secretary NCIDE visited different mosques, schools, Muslim seminaries, colleges, universities and different social and religious leaders where he distributed the Message for the month of Ramadan and ‘ID Al-Fitr’. He also read this message in Iftar gatherings (breaking of Muslim fast) in order to promote peace, harmony and acceptance in the society.

Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad the Imran of Badshahi Mosque, Maulana Muhammad Asim Makhdoom the Chairman of Kul-Maslik-Ullma Board Lahore and the Muslim community appreciated the message of peace and brotherhood issued by Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue Vatican, Rome every year and they assured their support and solidarity to continue to work together with National Commission for Interreligious Dialogue & Ecumenism for the promotion of peace, harmony and reconciliation.

Muslim religious leaders also expressed their gratitude as His Grace Archbishop Sebastian Francis Shaw OFM and Fr. Francis Nadeem OFM Cap themselves distributed the Message for the month of Ramadan and ‘ID Al-Fitr’ issued by Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue Vatican, Rome which symbolize acceptance, unity and peace.

This message was also sent to all the diocesan directors of National Commission for Interreligious Dialogue & Ecumenism in order to distribute this message in their respective dioceses.
