Raja Walter Offers Ifaar Invitation to All Deserving Muslim Brethren During Holy Month of Ramadan

Lahore: (By Pervez Yousaf) Raja Walter offers Iftaar (the meals at the end of fasting time of Muslim brethren) to all the deserving Muslim brethren throughout the Holy month of Ramadan 2020, Fr. Francis Nadeem OFM Cap disclosed today.  Talking to social media representatives Raja, a resident of Youhanabad Ferozepur Road Lahore the largest colony of Christian community in Pakistan, stated that he is appreciated for his services in assisting and providing meals twice a day to the victims of corona virus pandemic.

Raja Walter, the owner of VIP Burger Point recognized and appreciated all his supporters who are of his class.  He said he welcomes all petty amounts, 500 (five hundred) or 1000 (one thousand) or so.  My supporters are not rich people, social, political or religious leaders, they are like me.

He added that his family in Lahore and one brother working in Sweden help him in continuing my services for the people in need in this time of sorrows and sighs.   He once again expressed his concern about the role of Muslim rich who are helping the deserving people but with religious prejudice and hatred, they refuse to help the non-Muslim communities.

The Muslim community and scholars including Maulana Mufti Syed Ashiq Hussain, principal of Bait-ul-Quran (a Muslim seminary in Lahore) and Sahibzada Muhammad Asim Makhdoom, chairman of the board of Kul Masalik Ulema highly commended the gesture of social and interreligious harmony of Raja Walter.  They commented that Muslim rich and NGOs should learn from this exemplary Pakistani and abort prejudice and hatred from their hearts.

Fr. Francis Nadeem OFM Cap, executive secretary of National Commission for Interreligious Dialogue and Ecumenism also paid tribute to Raja Walter for his remarkable role as a responsible citizen of Pakistan during this time of catastrophe throughout the world.  He said, “it is the impact of interreligious dialogue”. Fr. Nadeem appealed to all generous people of Pakistan to come forward and help the suffering humanity. He also urged believers of all religions to pray for the end of corona virus from the entire world.
