Prayer Request for Stephen Masih Blasphemy Case District Sialkot

Lahore: (By Qaisar Loudhi) Stephen Masih son of Mughal Masih Residential of Mohala Imran Pura, Baddyana Tehsil Pasrur, District Sialkot.

Stephen, is mentally ill Pakistani Christian man who has been charged with blasphemy. Stephen Masih was charged following a complaint from local cleric Hafiz Muhammad Mudassar.

According to the FIR, two Muslims named Muhammad Rafique and Muhammad Imran, told Muhammad Mudassar Stephen had made derogatory remarks against the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Stephen, 38, is unmarried and lived with his sister Alia and their mother in Imran Pura Badiana Village District Sialkot.

According to Alia, when Stephen was in 5th grade, he became sick with typhoid fever and became mentally unwell.

Stephen dropped his studies due to illness, and with the passage of time his family noticed behavioral change.

Around 12 years ago, they had medical checkup from Civil Hospital and his doctor declared him mentally disabled, but they do not have a medical report.

 Due to poor financial circumstances, his family did not provide him with medical treatment.

The Lawyers of PCLJ (Pak Center For Law And Justice) put the application for medical report in March 2020, which was accepted the Addition Session Judge and ordered for complete medical of Stephen Masih. but it was taken time because of Covi-19.

Now the hearing of this case is fixed on 08 August 2020, so keep Stephen Masih in your prayers.

Prayer: In view of the above submissions, it is most respectfully prayed that instant application may kindly be accepted and petitioner be allowed post arrest bail till the final decision in the interest of justice.
