Faisalabad: Human Rights Focus Pakistan (HRFP) started legal proceedings for justice of murder victim Ishal Afzal a minor Christian girl aged 2 was abducted by unknown assailants while playing outside his house in Liaqat Town, Faisalabad.

Ishal’s father Afzal Masih with their Church Pastor Sohail Masih visited to HRFP office shared details with legal team and proceeds through sessions court Faisalabad against brutal murder of child girl after abduction.

HRFP is supporting to victim’s family from day 1st and HRFP’s fact findings team has visited the site of incident, victim’s home, family, police and came to know that Ishal Afzal missed on 06 January 2021 morning around 8:30 am when she was playing just outside the door opens to street. When she didn’t found anywhere the family went to Saddar Police Station Jaranwala road Faisalabad for submission the complaint of her abduction. FIR was registered but she was not found anywhere by police.

On 07 January 2021 around 4:00 pm her dead body was found near the area’s pond of rains water where her body was dropping down to water and little part was on a corner. The family called to police and emergency service. They referred to Allied Hospital Faisalabad for post mortem. After taking swabs the dead body was returned back to family and her funeral was held on same evening.

The initial medical reports showing that she was murdered somewhere five hours earlier before getting swabs after possibly rape attempts. Firstly police interrogates 2 suspects but both were released.

Naveed Walter president of Human Rights Focus Pakistan (HRFP) said that the case is an addition in numbering of Christian, Hindu and minority minor girls abductions. He said that latest figures of girls’ abductions have reached eight to ten cases a day.

He appealed community to look after the minors and stop easy access of strangers to their concerned areas and homes. Naveed Walter said further that government is not taking any serious actions to eliminate or strategizing even to stop the children being raped or sodomized and the situation is getting worse. He demands for bring culprits of Ishal Afzal’s murderers to justice, he added more.
