Sialkot: There is a large population of Christians living in Sinema Basti area of Tehsil Jaranwala of District Faisalabad

Where there are churches of different congregations apart from the Christian school, it was announced in the mosques in the morning that a Christian had desecrated the Holy Quran by burning it. Therefore, after hearing the announcement that revenge should be taken against them, hundreds of Muslims reached the Christian settlement

Where they not only physically abused the Christians but also burnt down the houses and four churches of the Christians, in which the holy books and the Holy Cross were also insulted

The entire incident took place in the presence of the police. A case of blasphemy against the Quran has been registered against a Christian, Saleem Masih, who has not been arrested so far.

Pakistani Christians have expressed dissatisfaction with the performance of Muslim and Christian scholars working for interfaith harmony

Christian Awareness Movement Chairman Dr. Adil Ghori has said that the administration has failed to provide protection to Christians.

This incident of burning of Christian settlements and churches is not the first, and the administration needed to make early arrangements to save the colony and the churches.
