Sydney: (By Manish Rai) he Iranian Football Association Australia (IFAA), in conjunction with the Iranian Community Organisation, is thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of its eagerly awaited One-Day Futsal Tournament in honour of Jina (Mahsa) Amini. The event brought together groups from various communities for an exhilarating day of competition and lively camaraderie. On Sunday, December 10th, at the Eric Primrose Reserve in Rydalmere, the event witnessed a remarkable turnout of players, attendees, volunteers, futsal enthusiasts, and community activists.

Mr Kamran KESHAVARZ, President of IFAA while speaking at the event said that the purpose of this gathering was to commemorate the Woman Life Freedom movement and the September 2022 brutal murder of Jina (Mahsa) Amini by the morality police of the extremist Islamic regime in Iran, which sparked an uprising for freedom in Iran through the fast-paced and dynamic sport of futsal.

Mr KESHAVARZ also shared the brief history of IFAA. He said the Iranian Football Association Australia (IFAA) was founded in August 2014 by Iranian Community Ambassadors, in preparation for the Asian Cup 2015, which took place in Australia in January 2015.
