Pakistan: (By Staff Reporter)A tragic incident of kidnapping of a 13-year-old Christian girl has taken place in Chak No. 47/12-L, Tehsil Chicha Watani, Sahiwal District, in which the girl was allegedly forcibly converted to Islam.
The 13-year-old daughter was studying in the sixth grade. The person who allegedly kidnapped the girl is said to be Ali Haider, son of Gulzar, a Jat. After the kidnapping, the girl was forcibly converted to Islam. Ten days have passed since the incident, but no effective progress has been made yet.
This evening, the victim's family was threatened again and threatened with serious consequences if they did not withdraw the case. Such incidents have become a routine part of Pakistan.
Dr. Emanuel Adil Ghauri, Chairman of the Christian Awareness Movement,( Masihi Tehreek.E. Beadari) expressed deep concern over the incident and said that reports by the Catholic News Agency, Aurat Foundation and other NGOs prove that at least 1,000 such incidents occur annually in Pakistan in which the police neither recover the girls nor do the parents get justice.
