QUETTA: November 16, 2008. (PCP) As November 20 approaches the clashes erupt in Balochistan between banned Baloch Liberation Army BLA and security forces. Nawabzada Balach Marri was martyred by Pakistan armed forces in covered operation on November 20, 2007, in undisclosed place near Balochistan-Afghanistan border. Nawabzada Balach Marri was the youngest son of Nawab Khair Bakhsh Marri and elected member of the Balochistan Assembly from his home constituency of Kohlu in the 2002 general election but resigned in 2003 as protest. He was born in Quetta and got his schooling from St Francis School. He later went to Kabul along with his family in 1980s and then Moscow to get his Masters degree in Electronic Engineering. A spokesman of BLA, Beebargh Baloch, calling from unknown place through satellite phone, told newsmen that security forces had launched a search operation in Mand and Mashkey area and had arrested many Baloch youths on Saturday. He further claimed that in another encounter that occurred on Sunday about a dozen security men were killed while their two vehicles were destroyed in the attack. Martyr Balach Marri is taken as symbol of freedom of Balochistan by Baloch youth who took leadership of Baloch people after martyrdom of great Baloch leader Nawab Akbar Bugti.
