Dear Brother Nazir, I am Jayakar Ellis and am the Editor of the only Christian News paper "THE CHRISTIAN OBSERVER"(TCO) in India. I was glad to come across your website and was happy and encouraged seeing the wonderful work you have been doing for the Lord and His people. Below I have given as to how I started the TCO. Why was TCO started? : There have been a number of programs organised by many Churches /Christian organisations in the past in our City and the rest of India for our spiritual growth. Many of us are not even aware of such programs. Thus the TCO was started with prayer in the month of December 2000 for the city of Mumbai & Navi Mumbai to bring in Christian News to the doorstep of every Christian. With God’s grace, the TCO has sustained for 18 months and now has a circulation of 3000 and covers Indian as well as International news. The TCO has its readers in Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Nagaland, Orissa, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal not forgetting Australia USA & Germany. The Aims of TCO is to: Cover every Christian news all over India / Bridge the gap between Churches/Christian organisations and the Christian homes / Spread God's word to every home /individual / Let Christians know of how the Lord is using every Church/Christian Organisation / Give a platform to every Christian businessman / Christian service / To assist Churches / Christian Organisations in working together. The Vision of TCO: Is to reach out to every Christian home in India (in every language possible) and the rest of the world that we may together praise God for His wondrous work and pray for one another at a time when we require it the most.
