Editor, Last year during the war in Afghanistan I went to Pakistan in order to document the refugee situation on the border and in Peshawar. The Pakistani Christian community at St. Michael's church in Peshawar befriended me. Through their friendship I was given help to go to the refugee camps and other areas to photograph and document the plight of the Afghan refugees. During my month long stay I also learned much of the discrimination of the Pakistani community throughout Peshawar and Pakistan. I was taken to several poor Christian communities to see living conditions of these desperate people. I documented much of it and have many photo's. I have also written about this community in newspapers back home trying to bring awareness to the American public of the discrimination. I also met a man who runs a non-profit org. that helps the Christian poor through education, health, etc.... I have been made spokesman for his group in the USA to raise awareness of their plight and raise money for their cause. Recently he sent me a 26 page report done by his group which details the discrimination and hardships, especially of the young Christians trying to get an education and better themselves and hopefully break the cycle of discrimination and illiteracy that is apparent in many of the families. I would like to send you this report, with other documents, newspaper articles written about my journey, along with an editorial I wrote about the Christian community.
