Christian in Pakistan... By Aamir Z. Kiani

Dear Editor, I read the Christian Post and I find courage that at least there is somebody out there who is highlighting the issues and problems faced by the Christian community in Pakistan. I come from Karachi, I studied in a Christian School and I lived among the Christian population who are a very peacefull community. Because of my personall interest I joined a Bible School and I did several courses from there, when I was approached whether I believe in Jesus Christ as my lord and Saviour, yes I do, but because of this I was kidnapped and tortured by members of a Muslim extremist organisation. I then quit going to Bible School, as I was afraid they might kill me. Now in Canda I once again started to study the Christian faith and because of this I am facing very hardships from my community. In Pakistan they have threatened me of persecution by Muslim extremist organisation. The Government does not support any Christian wheather he is a convert or a born Christian, a convert is the worse case of persecutions in Pakistan. I appreciate your efforts for the Christian community in Pakistan. Please do give me some guidance on this matter. Aamir Z. Kiani
