Are they calling Jesus a sinner ? Drunkedness is the sin... NOT the drinking of alcoholic beverages... Proverbs 20:1-"Wine is a mocker, strong drink a brawler, And whoever is intoxicated by it is not wise" Titus 1:7 ([elders and deacons ought not be] "addicted to wine or strong drink") Titus 2:3 (older women, who would serve as role models to the younger ones, must not be addicted to wine). It doesn't say they cannot have a glass at supper or a celebration does it ????? AND 1 Corinthians 6:12 "Everything is permissible for me"--but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible for me"--but I will not be mastered by anything. Deut 14:26 "And you may spend the money for whatever your heart desires, for oxen, or sheep, or wine, or strong drink, or whatever your heart desires; and there you shall eat in the presence of the LORD your God and rejoice, you and your household" 1 Tim 5:23 Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities. I saved the best for last.... As the lord would do himself... John 2:1-11 On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. [11] This, the first of his miraculous signs, Jesus performed at Cana in Galilee. He thus revealed his glory, and his disciples put their faith in him . Jesus must think it's OK ? He made it , actually God made it......Jesus willed it to be done. It was done. For certain it was good. All things of God are good. I'm getting ready to marinate a nice pork tenderloin in wine and go tend to my avocado groves. Good day.. Whoever made that comment ( Consumption of Liquor is sin in Christian teachings and issuance of Liquor permits to Christians by government of Pakistan is an out let designed to provide liquor to Muslim majority community in Pakistan when poor Christians have no buying power of expensive alcoholic products. Therefore Christians demand cancellation of liquor permits. ) has the ability to read and comprehend the bible about as well as the Taliban read and comprehend the Koran....No ability whatsoever !!!!
